It looks like your problem is more about adding the proper -Lxxx flags to the compiler ... which_lib is just scanning the libs specified by the -Lxxx flags. Can you explain me exactly what you are trying to do (some general background would be appreciated, why you need it etc - I'm quite ignorant on the state of gnustep support on Darwin) ?
