Hi, I updated to the latest on HEAD, where I've been tinkering, and it seems that the 0.8.5 merge-in has introduced some rather funky problems. Menu item strings are not centered in their cells and drawing the menus themselves is *very* slow. It seems like the string drawing changes are the culprit. I backed those out and the small NSFont change and things went back to normal -- but, I dunno.
