I have my "Windows" key set as Meta L key. However, when pressed in GNUstep applications it acts as some kind of character key.
I am using Windowmaker and I am using this key for moving switching between workspaces (Meta+wsnumber), moving windows... I am loosing selected texts in GNUstep applications when swithching to another workspace where i wanted to paste the text or do somthing else regardeles of the selection. I have noticed, that it happened when Windows key was pressed -> GNUstep deleted the selected text, thinking that I wanted to insert some regular character.
Here is output from xenv by pressing and releasing the Windows key on my keyboard:
KeyPress event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x2000001,
root 0x47, subw 0x0, time 895540, (-56,-35), root:(361,525),
state 0x0, keycode 64 (keysym 0xffe9, Alt_L), same_screen YES,
XLookupString gives 0 characters: ""KeyRelease event, serial 28, synthetic NO, window 0x2000001,

XLookupString gives 0 characters: ""AFAIR, I was not experiencing this couple months ago. I think this behaviour is since september or so.
Is it problem of GNUstep or X?
