Category: Gui/AppKit
Severity: 5 - Average
Item Group: Bug
Resolution: Fixed
Privacy: Public
Assigned to: alexm
Status: Closed

Summary: Pulldown button is drawn about 5-10 pixels low...

Original Submission: I have also noticed the same with Drag & Drop. I can't seem to
pick up things from palettes unless the mouse is around the middle or about 5 pixels
below the top of the object to be dragged. I believe these are caused by the same
issue.

Please see the attached for the pulldown issue.

Steps to recreate:

1) open Gorm.app
2) open the inspectors window
3) click the pull down button

result: the button will appear somewhat lower than the actual button in the view.

This issue isn't specific to any given app, Gorm is being used as an example here, but
I've been able to reproduce it on any GNUstep app. I have also reproduced it in
Terminal.app and others have seen the same issue in GNUmail.

One additional note. These problems are no longer apparent in all applications when:

defaults write NSGlobalDomain GSX11HandlesWindowDecorations 'NO'

is used.
