This seems to be related to a more general problem of the printing system not working 
correctly when there is no PPD available.  I think there needs to be a generic PPD, 
either a file or a dictionary that's produced in code, to handle situation like this.

Summary:  Attempting to print from any .app w/o cupsd running throws exception

Original Submission:  If cupsd is not running, attempts to raise a print dialog cause 
the app to throw exceptions and eventually crash.
