Well, first off. Don't install the versions on that page. Go to ftp://ftp.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/core and download the latest version of all of the packages there or grab one of the snapshots from the snapshot directory. >From there follow the instructions on the page you went to.. Second... from what you're saying above, it doesn't seem as though after doing ". /usr/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh" as root that you ALSO did it when you went to configure base as a normal user. Please remember when you become root, you are a different user. Changes made to that environment will not propagate to other shells after you cease being root. Try sourcing the initialization script (GNUstep.sh) and running configure to see if that helps. Later, GJC P.S.
