It's dangerous to have '.' in your PATH, and should never be counted
on.
Likewise, you seem to be assuming that the user is root when you
execute the
installer, which is also a bad assumption. :)
OK, sorry. But I'm not assuming the user is root. The script checks
if you have root access, and if not, gives you the option of either
installing in your home directory or using sudo to install the
packages.
