I downloaded ftp://ftp.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/core/gnustep-startup-0.14.0.tar.gz and tried to install it only a freshly installed Slackware 10.1. I just tried a default install, nothing special:

sudo ./InstallGNUstep

That failed, however like this during the installation of gnustep-make:

config.status: creating fixpath.sh
config.status: creating gnustep-make.spec
config.status: creating config.h
config.status: executing default commands
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -I. -o which_lib which_lib.c
Moving paths from old heirarchy:
Creating system domain: /usr/GNUstep/System
Creating local and network dirs: /usr/GNUstep/Local, /usr/GNUstep/Local
Creating makefile directories in: /usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Makefiles
Installing GNUstep configuration file in /etc/GNUstep/GNUstep.conf
Installing gnustep-make support software
Installing makefiles
./InstallGNUstep: line 555: /Library/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh: No such file or direc
tory
bash-3.00$

While it is no problem for me to do a manual installation this might be a show stopper for a newbee, so I think this should be fixed ASAP.

regards, Lars
