Adam,I compiled ffcall from source and noticed that it seemed to have automatically used the -fPIC option (this from the stuff that appeared during configure). For some reason, the compile gnustep failed for the same R_PPC_REL24 reason (It didn't fail the first time - it's a mystery). I have included the log file (and am sending it to bug.gnustep). Thanks.
