Thanks ... your patch makes complete sense to me -- fixpath.sh has explicit
if/else for the various options, and obviously the cygwin one is supposed to
be for cygwin and the mingw one for mingw. ;-)
So I applied it to trunk. ;-)

PS: I'm not on MinGW at the moment though, so I couldn't really test it.
