Follow-up Comment #1:
It is true that the values we check have been removed in recent Gnome
versions, but what about users still using old Gnome releases? For these users
supporting the old value will be a big help.
For those of us who use an EWMH window manager these old values will never
get used, so no harm is caused. Because of this, I would like to reject this
patch.
