hello, i think this is a better way to fix my problem, thanks. i want to install the GNUstep, first i installed the GNU-make, then GNU-base, all goes well, but when i install the GNU-gui, at the configure step, there is a WARNING: cannot find libtiff header and/or library; but i am sure that the package libtiff has been installed. by the way, the OS is openSuse 10.2. At last, thank you very much.
