Follow-up Comment #4, bug #23776 (project gnustep):
I too think it is a packaging issue or an msys issue (the crashes). Sicne
using both the old environment and the newe one, I installed current
tarballs,; so it is not something which is in -core.
The icon problem instead could be w2k/xp feature dependent...
