Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24727 (project gnustep):
OK, I'm starting to see some logic to the madness, however it's still weird!
It seems every time a "." is encountered, it considers that a file type. For
example, in my home folder I have it sorted by Type and this is what I see:
Affiche - directory
GNUstep - directory
...
PhotoClip - directory
.fullcircle - directory
.links - directory
...
.xwmconfig - directory
PRICE-0.8.2 - directory
batmon-0.3 - directory
NoteBook-0.3 - directory
.... etc.
As you can see, even though they are all directories it sub-sorting them in
the name field after sorting them by whatever is after the ".".
