Well ... sort of fixed ...
This is a long-standing known problem ... the NSMessagePort support on
windows is implemented using the windows mailbox api, and this api propvides
no way to notify you when a client process goes away. The workaround is to
'ping' each client at intervals (about 30 seconds to avoid too heavy a load)
and this keepalive mechanism is now used (svn trunk).
