Follow-up Comment #7, bug #25033 (project gnustep):
I would guess that:
[format getCharacters: fmt range: ((NSRange){0, len})]
may not be that portable. I think using NSMakeRange(0,len) would be the
cleaner approach. Yet that might not yet solve the issue.
Just to verify, could you attach the results from running:

The important result is the "Proxy NSRange" test.
