Details:
Hi there,
I'm not sure it's the right place to ask, but I didn't find a more
appropriate place...
I retrieved Windows packages from
http://www.gnustep.org/experience/Windows.html
As suggested there, I downloaded and installed *in order*:
- "GNUstep System" 0.22.0
- "GNUstep Core" 0.22.0
- "GNUstep Devel" 1.0.0
I also installed the 3 apps from so-called "0.22.x series":
- SystemPreferences.app Version 1.0.2-7
- Gorm.app Version 1.2.8
- ProjectCenter.app Version 0.5.0
I checked that system was OK by launching a shell which seemed to work OK.
After that, I tried to replicate the tutorial below:
http://www.gnustep.it/pierre-yves/index.html
The step "Creating an App" went OK.
Things went awry at the second step "Editing the interface file":
After selecting "Interfaces" in the main window browser, I'm proposed 4
choices instead of 1 in the tutorial: in addition to expected
"Converter.gorm", there is also "Main.gsmarkup", "MainMenu-GNUstep" and
"MainMenu-OSX.gs" (I'm not sure it's important)
When, as instructed, I double-click on "Converter.gorm", nothing happens, and
Gorm.app is not launched.
If I right-click on "Converter.gorm", a copy of the "PC" menu appears and
when I release the click, an iconized window appears on my screen.
Double-clicking on it makes a grey rectangle appear with absolutely no
content...
Also, in the main window browser, when hovering over the various icons
(launcher, inspector...), a small rectangle appears again with absolutely no
content.
I'm stuck there.
I imagine I'm missing something pretty obvious, since I doubt this is a bug:
if that was the case, everybody would have faced it!
Rather, it's probably a configuration problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for your patience.
