Follow-up Comment #1:
The background of a toolbar gets painted in clear colour to show the
underlying window background. On Windows we don't have alpha values for
colours, that way clear was interpreted as black. I changed the drawing code
to ignore full transparent drawing. This should resolve the problem here and
bring up the Windows drawing code to the level of xlib.
