the exception of the method invocation gets caught by some exception handler
somewhere, so its a feature that doesn't work on platforms where it wouldn't
have existed if not for the contribution... so i'm inclined to just let
sleeping dogs lie.
development/maintenance has been mostly user contributed for a while, so my
intent is to just maintain the status quo on GNUstep
as long as the application continues working without any major time
investment.
