Follow-up Comment #3:
gnustep-make removes obsolete variables and features from the default setup
only 5 years after deprecating them, so we'll have to wait another couple of
years before removing them. By then, we'll be really sure that all makefiles
have been updated to gnustep-make 2.0 :-)
No big deal though, it doesn't harm anyone to have four or five additional
variables defined in the environment. ;-)
