As far as I can tell, GNUStep hasn't worked properly in the last 3 versions
of Ubuntu (including 11.04) amd64.

I am using the GNUStep packages from Ubuntu's repository.

I just downloaded and compiled ProjectCenter 0.60. It compiles fine, but
when I try to run it, I get an error:

Downloads/ProjectCenter-0.6.0$ openapp ./ProjectCenter
Downloads/ProjectCenter-0.6.0/ProjectCenter.app/ProjectCenter: error while
loading shared libraries: libProjectCenter.so.0: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

When I try to run the version of ProjectCenter in the Ubuntu repository, I
get this:

2011-05-21 12:34:05.481 ProjectCenter[4340] Did not find correct version of
backend (libgnustep-back-018.bundle), falling back to std
(libgnustep-back.bundle).
2011-05-21 12:34:05.691 ProjectCenter[4340] NSApplication.m:304 Assertion
failed in initialize_gnustep_backend. Unable to find backend back
ProjectCenter: Uncaught exception NSInternalInconsistencyException, reason:
NSApplication.m:304 Assertion failed in initialize_gnustep_backend. Unable
to find backend back

Gorm and SystemPreferences give similar errors.

I haven't been able to get anything (Gorm, SystemPreferences, etc.) running
on the two previous versions of Ubuntu either (10.10 and 10.04).
