Follow-up Comment #4, patch #8087 (project gnustep):
I tried to pipe the mail through patch, but that did not worked, and I'm too
lazy to appy that manually ;)
Generally, I can follow the reasoning, and will test the patch, once you
attach it here as a separate file ;)
As a last instance, probably David has to say yay or nay ;)
