Update of bug #39957 (project gnustep):
Status: None => Fixed
Open/Closed: Open => Declined

Follow-up Comment #2:
The location is NOT hard coded ... it's looking up the bundle in the local
domain ... so if the bundle has been installed in /usr and the code is
looking in /usr/local then either:
1. the bundle has been installed in the wrong place (/usr rather than
/usr/local)
or
2. the GNUstep.conf file has been set up to point the local domain to the
wrong place (/usr/local rather than /usr).
So your problem is one of system misconfiguration rather than a bug in the
library.
That being said, I have changed the code so that it should try all domains
from version 1.7.0
This may fix your problem (if any domain is configured to point to the
directory the bundle is actually installed in).
