Follow-up Comment #2, bug #53035 (project gnustep):
Unfortunately the fix is incorrect.
The test failed on all of Debian's big-endian architectures (except m68k and
powerpcspe which are configured globally to skip tests for performance
reasons). Sorry for not spotting that earlier; patch attached.
