The best solution would be to use a distro that offers binary icecat
packages. 

Recent binary GNU Icecat packages are available at Parabola GNU/Linux - 
https://parabolagnulinux.org/ and ConnochaetOS - http://www.connochaetos.org/. 
Maybe there is a way to convert this packages to your distros package format.
