Hello,
I had this error, read the other thread about permission errors but
though it wasn't exactly the same so..
I got this error:

Stripping package directory...
signing nss libraries
/bin/sh: 1: /usr/src/icecat-12.0/dist/bin/run-icecat.sh: Permission
denied
make[1]: *** [stage-package] Error 126
-----------------------------------------------------------------
So I did:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
chmod +x build/unix/run-icecat.sh
-----------------------------------------------------------------
and redid 'make install' and now it works.
