For some reason icecat-12.0 will not configure or install on ubuntu natty as user.
I have to do it using sudo (ie root), when 'install' fails with > /home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib/xmltok.c:882:1: > warning: missing initializer > /home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib/xmltok.c:882:1: > warning: (near initialization for 'big2_encoding.isName2') > In file included from > /home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib/xmltok.c:695:0: > /home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib/xmltok_impl.c: In > function 'little2_isPublicId': > /home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib/xmltok_impl.c:1374:5: > internal > compiler error: in set_jump_prob, at stmt.c:2319 > Please submit a full bug report, > with preprocessed source if appropriate. > See <file:///usr/share/doc/gcc-4.5/README.Bugs> for instructions. > make[5]: *** [xmltok.o] Error 1 > make[5]: Leaving directory > `/home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat/lib' > make[4]: *** [libs] Error 2 > make[4]: Leaving directory `/home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser/expat' > make[3]: *** [libs] Error 2 > make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0/parser' > make[2]: *** [libs_tier_platform] Error 2 > make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0' > make[1]: *** [tier_platform] Error 2 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/adam/Downloads/icecat-12.0' > make: *** [default] Error 2 The upside is that I still have icecat-10.0 running reliably with minimal extensions. Any suggestions, icecatters ? Adam.
