Try doing:
# strace -p `pidof icecat`
both when `Priv3' is enabled and disabled.



Good to know, thanks for posting about this. I'm working on a brand new extension for Privacy. After it's added to IceCat, you will not need Priv3 anymore and Priv3 won't ship with IceCat anymore. This is scheduled for roughly in 2 weeks with IceCat 14.
