I've been attempting to compile IceCat 24.0 on OSX, and have gotten what appears to be the contents of a definitions file being read as symbols while it tries to compile nss. The errors are below, edited to remove the lists of symbols generated from the compiler trying to guess what "_" meant.
For anyone who may want to replicate the issue, you'll first have to patch another compile bug found involving strip: https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/rev/31455f831ed4 1:31.83 Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: 1:31.83 "_", referenced from: 1:31.83 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.85 (maybe you meant: [list of many symbols] ) 1:31.85 "_ global:", referenced from: 1:31.85 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.85 "_ local:", referenced from: 1:31.85 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.85 "_#", referenced from: 1:31.85 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.85 "_# On AIX, lines containing "", referenced from: 1:31.85 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.85 "_# line on which it occurs.", referenced from: 1:31.86 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.86 "_# And for AIX, the first "", referenced from: 1:31.86 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.86 "_# all characters after the first "", referenced from: 1:31.86 -exported_symbol[s_list] command line option 1:31.86 "_# 2.
