SpyBlock uses a set of custom lists generated from EasyList and EasyPrivacy, but customized so they only block requests based on the request domain, and only if that domain is third-party. That is done to avoid targeting advertising, but privacy trackers. With this changes, self-served advertisement is preserved, as we have nothing against that. If the users want to add add-blocking lists that is up to them. I didn't include malware filters back then because there wasn't an IceCat version for Windows at the moment, and afaik those filters are based on Google's windows site malware blacklist.
