I can't believe I only sent the list and not a patch.  My apologies.
And yes, I understand about the thru issue.  I'm an American who has
lived in Ireland for quite some time - English is just hopeless.

Ah, that might be it.  Generating a patch for a CVS repository is kind
of a pain.

If you'd like I can convert the groff CVS repo to git.  I had to learn
git for a project at work a few months back and have been doing repo
conversions as a way to get more comfortable with it.  I haven't done
a CVS conversion yet though.
