Follow-up Comment #1, bug #50786 (project groff):
The Foundry.in file can contain multiple aliases for a font file name, so:-
AR|N||||URWGothicL-Book!a010013l.pfb
Could become:-
AR|N||||URWGothicL-Book!URWGothic-Book!a010013l.pfb
('!' is the alias separator).
It should then find the file whichever version of ghostscript is installed.
