Hi Jeff, It looks like no one has responded to your bug report to bug-groff two months ago (although if someone responded off list, that wouldn't be archived).
Email is no longer the preferred way to report groff bugs. The best thing to do is file your bug report at http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=groff (the groff documentation should be updated to reflect this). You can file a bug here without creating an account. Besides the fact that it's less likely to get lost, another advantage to filing your bug report here is that this bug tracker will preserve what you wrote. The bug-groff archive of your message (http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-groff/2018-08/msg00028.html) is missing critical information because a poorly designed mechanism to hide email addresses also munged several of the register and macro names in your message (those containing an @). If it weren't for this mangling, I would go ahead and paste your email into a bug report myself. But with nine of these redactions in your message, too much information is lost. Thanks for taking the time to file a report and doing some of the debugging work! _______________________________________________ bug-groff mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-groff
