Follow-up Comment #9, bug #61073 (project groff):
Okay, that is a failure mode I would expect to see. The built groff
executable cannot find the device and font description directories. (This is
a major reason why `test-groff` exists.)
I also do not see a SEGV.
I think your code change introduced the SEGV. I'd like to know if you concur.
