That seemed to do the trick! I've attached the build log.
(BTW, I remembered I still had a /usr/local/share/groff from a previous
installation of an earlier build. I gave it the ol' rimraf (in case it was
skewing the test results somehow) before realising that it would've been wiser
to wipe them *after* confirming that your patch worked…)
