Follow-up Comment #4, bug #62592 (project groff):
[comment #2 comment #2:] > [comment #1 comment #1:] > > Since this item also applies to groff 1.22.4, > > Commentary in bug #62551 indicates this dependency originates with commit 3805d2a0 <http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=3805d2a0>, from a mere two months ago. I forgot to reply to this. The dependency is strengthened, but it was there before, if you ran "make doc". $ make doc LANG=C \ LC_ALL=C \ makeinfo --enable-encoding -I/home/branden/BUILD/groff-1.22.4/doc --plaintext -o doc/groff.txt doc/groff.texi LANG=C \ LC_ALL=C \ TEXINPUTS="./build-aux:" \ MAKEINFO='makeinfo -I /home/branden/BUILD/groff-1.22.4/doc' \ texi2dvi -e --batch --build-dir=doc/`basename doc/groff.dvi`.t2d -o doc/groff.dvi doc/groff.texi You don't have a working TeX binary (tex) installed anywhere in your PATH, and texi2dvi cannot proceed without one. If you want to use this script, you'll need to install TeX (if you don't have it) or change your PATH or TEX environment variable (if you do). See the --help output for more details. For information about obtaining TeX, please see http://tug.org/texlive, or do a web search for TeX and your operating system or distro. On Debian you can install a working TeX system with apt-get install texlive make: *** [Makefile:11904: doc/groff.dvi] Error 1 _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?62592> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
