Summary: [me] adjacent columns' baselines do not align if the columns have footnotes Project: GNU troff Submitter: barx Submitted: Sun 03 Jul 2022 12:41:10 AM CDT Category: Macro me Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Rendering/Cosmetics Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun 03 Jul 2022 12:41:10 AM CDT By: Dave <barx> As observed with the example input provided in the original submission of bug #61675: "on typesetters, the baselines of the columns don't align--there's a sliver of extra space at the top of the second." This still happens with the latest tmac/e.tmac. (As an unsurprising consequence of this, the baselines of the lowermost footnotes in the two columns are also misaligned--but by more than the column text itself. This may be another manifestation of the same bug, or a separate one.) The bug does not appear if the footnotes are taken out. (This can be done by changing the example input's "\\nN%11=0" to "\\nN%11=13", making the condition always false.) _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?62698> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
