Follow-up Comment #9, bug #59545 (project groff): [comment #7 comment #7:] > I do have a question about what we should do with busgrap, don't answer that, and don't change a single letter in the name!
Wuh-oh. You're really wedded to the name? 'Cause, darn, I sure did have some punning ideas... ;-P > Probably better to put it into contrib first given the lack of testing it has received. As I understand it, that is not the purpose of contrib. I recently captured that understanding (which is subject to correction by those longer in the tooth than I) in the "LICENSE" file. Files in the contrib/ subdirectory of the source distribution are not strictly part of groff. That is, they are distributed with it and are Free Software <https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.en.html>, but they are not considered essential parts of the distribution. Further, they may bear licenses other than the GPL or the FSF does not administer their copyrights. To determine their copyright status and licensing, see the "COPYRIGHT" file in the appropriate subdirectory of contrib/. I don't consider lack of testing a gate to inclusion. We can write a smoke test for basic sane operation and go from there. Similarly, if it makes sense to move sboxes out of contrib, we can do that. > Either way I would appreciate some help with the makefile required. > > The latest version with various fixes and minor documentation changes is at:- > > http://chuzzlewit.co.uk/busgrap-20220712.tgz > > And the previous link published in emails is now a link to this version. I'd like to have a look at this because the visual results sure are nice. It's in my mental queue, somewhere behind the internally-linking-MR-in-PDF-man-pages stuff you sent me, and making afmtodit and BuildFoundries more paranoid (and, ultimately, robust, or at least more helpful to the user when something goes wrong). _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?59545> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
