Follow-up Comment #2:
I'm redrawing the boundaries of this ticket to restrict it to just the
paragraph indentation problem.
The other problem I cannot reproduce because since groff 1.22.4, a more
serious one (a formatter crash) is in the way.
I am now tracking that issue in bug #62040.
