I wonder how much use the `cc` request actually got, historically, because
DWB, Heirloom, and groff all agree that the following is well-formed:
.cc @
@de XX YY
@ tm hello, weird control character!
@ do tm .br=\n[.br]
.YY
@XX
And that this isn't.
.cc @
@de XX YY
@ tm hello, weird control character!
@ do tm .br=\n[.br]

@XX
What gives?
