Follow-up Comment #5, bug #64279 (project groff):
On my Debian system, mandoc's roff(7) page is installed as mandoc_roff(7).
I figure other distributors can do similar things with our page, if they want
to favor mandoc's over ours.
I don't see a reason to cede this piece of name space to mandoc in a GNU
project whose foremost support concern is GNU systems.
mandoc advocates' project of championing their alternative to *roff formatting
seems sometimes to shade into an effort at erasure.
