I would prefer not to duplicate documentation that others have written.

However, I would also prefer not to duplicate Autoconf tests that Autoconf
itself provides nowadays, and it it looks like we can replace GROFF_PROG_YACC
with AC_PROG_YACC.
So I'll work on that.
Rejecting this ticket in favor of that work.
