Hi Deri,

Do you have some kind of source form for the file
"font/devpdf/StandardSymSL.pfb"?

I can open it with FontForge, so the answer might be "no".

But it would be convenient for our build process if you did, because then I
could (maybe) treat it the way we treat "freeeuro.pfa", namely by
[https://cgit.git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/tree/font/devps/devps.am#n187
generating it].

Also, if you could regenerate the "SS" file using a contemporary _afmtodit_
that records more information, that would be helpful.  Do you have an "afm"
file for "StandardSymSL.pfb"?

I ask for all this stuff because it's hard to get _gropdf_ to find
"StandardSymSL.pfb" to embed it when running it from a build tree that is not
also the source tree.  That is a supported build scenario (and my usual one).
The "download" file doesn't have any concept of source tree and build tree; to
it, everything is an installation.
