Update of bug #67285 (group groff): Category: Preprocessor eqn => Preprocessor - others/general Status: Fixed => In Progress Open/Closed: Closed => Open Summary: [eqn] mangles multibyte UTF-8 sequences (or other bytes with eighth bit set) it should pass through => [grn, eqn, pic, refer, soelim, tbl] should pass through, not mangle, multibyte UTF-8 sequences
_______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #3: Reopening and generalizing, because several other preprocessors have this problem too. This is all of them except _pre-grohtml_ and _preconv_. I think we can exclude those; the former is just a way to run "troff -Tps" so the usual GNU _troff_ rules about 8-bit input apply to it. And we can exclude the latter because the whole point of _preconv_ is to bust the input down to US-ASCII so that GNU _troff_ can eat it without distress. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?67285> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
