Follow-up Comment #2, bug #66033 (group groff): [comment #1 comment #1:] > Odds are, once we've got the procedure documented and tested, > we'll never, ever have to do it again.
Part of said procedure will be applying groff's customizations to the metrics, such as the kernpairs added in bug #58897. Another customization to consider is raised in the [http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/?id=280724f9d commit 280724f9d] log message: "Are our font metrics correct? Why is it necessary to apply spacing corrections between two glyphs [roman f and roman closing double quotation mark] from the same face?" Regenerating the font description files may answer the first of those questions. If the metrics _are_ correct according to the source, then this is a flaw in the original font, and groff can add its own kernpairs to address it. (And I bet the single quote exhibits the same problem as the double.) _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?66033> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
