Yes. While syntactically allowed for splines, all reference points map to the
start, unfortunately.

spline right 1 then down .5 left 1 then right 1
arrow from .v3 of last spline down 1
arrow from .v1 of last spline up 1
arrow from .mid1 of last spline right 1
