Funny--your defect reports often have the same characteristic.

In this case the "problem" I can't reproduce is the one you reported
yourself in comment #0.

My method was to run the test script from a shell prompt.

The _groff_ bug tracker on Savannah is not the proper forum to solicit
reviews of your personal fork of _groff_.

You can ask for assistance on the _groff_ mailing list...

https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/groff

...because its charter includes "discussion of GNU roff, its development
and project administration, and features of other systems that work
similarly and are Free Software."

Be sure to supply (a durable hyperlink to) the complete source code, so
that people who want to be helpful will not be chasing phantoms. And,
if you distribute binaries, the GPL under which _groff_ is licensed
requires that you disclose the source code (or a written offer, valid
for at least three years, to provide same).
