Follow-up Comment #1, bug #68435 (group groff):

To reproduce, information is lacking for others.

[To be able to repeat "experiments" all ingredients and procedures must be
named (and from where), described.]

1) where is the file "utp_book" to be found ?

  I have "Unix-Text-Processing-1.0.tar.gz" from "unknown".

There is no "ch09.trf" file there, only "ch09.t"

2) where is the "ch09.trf" file or how created ?

Better say that ch09.trf is in the attachment.

3) why is the command "ocular" necessisary ?

-.-

  With ch09.t I get with

cd Unix-Text-Processing-1.0/src

test-groff -I . -Tpdf -ms -step -rRef=0 -ww -z ch09.t

troff:./ch09.t:13: warning: name 'ix' not defined [-w mac]
troff:./ch09.t:763: warning: trailing whitespace [-w trail]
troff:./ch09.t:969: warning: trailing whitespace [-w trail]

-.-

  Using "ch09.trf":

  Lines 16-18 are:

.lf 1 "-
.if !\n(.g .ab GNU tbl requires groff extensions; aborting
.do if !dTS .ds TS

Lines 43-46 are:

. hla \\*[3hyphlang]
. hlm \\n[3hyphmaxlines]
. hym \\n[3hyphmargin]u
. hys \\n[3hyphspace]u

Reproduce with (used -V option with test-groff)

tbl ch09.trf | eqn -Tpdf
