Hi,
Let me explain my plan for GRUB.
Until 0.5.92:
* Finish the GNU GRUB manual (about 70% is done).
Until 0.5.93:
* Add ``quit'' command for /sbin/grub.
* Add LBA mode support into stage1 (Kunihiro Ishiguro
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is working on this, so I expect this will be
completed very soon).
* Fix up the BSD-related problems, such as ELF FreeBSD kernel and new
Partition IDs for NetBSD and OpenBSD.
Until 0.5.94:
* Implement additional functionality necessary to install Debian
GNU/Hurd distribution (what is needed is not clear yet).
* Add ``setup'' or something command for end-users to install GRUB
easily (I know how the command should work).
* Add symbolic link support and >16MB file support into FFS code.
* Make /sbin/grub to run under *BSD.
Until 0.6:
* Fix all known bugs, of course. :)
Personally I don't want to add any completely new function into GRUB
until 0.6 will be released, unless Gordon prefers adding it, because
adding new features tends to add more bugs. If you have any question,
idea or suggestion, let me know. If you want to work on one or more of
the list above, go ahead!
Thanks,
OKUJI
