I'm wondering if I can write � in the files ChangeLog and THANKS. � is not an ASCII character, so I must use iso-8859-1, iso-2022-jp-2 or Unicode if I write the character �. The GNU Coding Standards mentions nothing about the character code. Possibly that is not so important, but I want to know how I should write "Peter �strand", so that I can thank him. Any suggestion is welcome.
